What do you remember most about your first day on the job?
Getting to know my neighbours in an environment that was different from where we normally chatted.
What is the best part of working at Sobeys?
When my store 552 team won a Store of the Year award.
What is your proudest moment as a Sobeys employee?
It's always been families nurturing families. It's what I've done for 30-plus years with the company.
What is your favourite memory from the past 25 years?
Years ago as a junior meat cutter, one of the Sobey family members saw me at the airport in Halifax and remembered my name and I thought, ?Wow, I want to be a people person like that.?
What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?
Be proud of who you are: be yourself, work hard and have fun.
