What do you remember most about your first day on the job?
I was only 14 years old and I got the job because my mother knew the manager. I was scared because I wanted to make sure I met Mom?s expectations.
What is the best part of working at Sobeys?
I love interacting with people. You get to know your regulars and their families, and I know the kids by name; I love to make them smile.
What is your proudest moment as a Sobeys employee?
Being dedicated to the job for 25 years.
What is your favourite memory from the past 25 years?
We did a charity fundraiser and I got a pie to the face.
What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?
Keep it real, be yourself, and always remember to have fun.
