What do you remember most about your first day on the job?
It was a 14-hour day because the employee who was supposed to work the shift after me didn't come to work.
What is the best part of working at Sobeys?
I love training the new employees, and I'm proud when they do well at our store or in other locations.
What is your proudest moment as a Sobeys employee?
I was asked to be a coach in the HMR department to teach store managers and assistant managers about the new concept. It's a lot of fun.
What advice would you give to a new Sobeys employee?
Treat customers the way you would like to be treated -- like family. Look at each customer as they come in the door, as if they were your parents, grandparents, neighbours and friends.
